DESCRIPTION:As part of the 8-day in-situ program\, "The Art of Remembering
\," The Rabbit Hole has curated 3 performances. \nThe performances are ex
perimental extensions of the research — spaces for testing\, sensing\, a
nd discovering what can emerge when different elements are brought into re
lation. Each becomes part of an ecosystem of discovery\, where sound\, vib
ration\, geometry\, movement\, and the body interact and respond to one an
other within the landscape of The Art of Remembering.\n \nOIec Mün a res
ident of The Rabbit Hole residency program in Naples\, Italy in 2021\, pre
sents his piano installation and answer to the question "What if we stop r
emembering?"\n"Names of Emanation" refers to the wisdom of Kabbalah and a
way of structuring and analyzing the energies of life.  In Hebrew\, words
are also numbers\, so each letter not only represents a sound but a numbe
 r. The art of decoding the numerical vibration of letters is called Gematr
ia. \nThe piano work consists in composing music with the numerical value
behind each Name of God\, finding the melody of each letter\, and reveali
ng how all melodies interact within each other. The result is a piece of m
usic of around 20 minutes long that can be repeated and permuted its diffe
rent parts like a meditation exercise. Each Name of God is allocated to a
specific sphere of the Tree of Life\, so the resultant is ten different ce
lls wich can be played in different orders. This piece is part of a bigger
project which is still a work in progress\, consisting in finding the mel
ody not only of the letters used in these specific Names\, but within all
the alphabet of 22 letters. When this will be finally done we will have a
whole alphabet of melodies with an infinite possibiliy of combinations.\n
\nOlec Mün is the artistic name of Marcelo Schnock\, an Argentinian co
 mposer\, multi-instrumentalist\, and pianist based in Barcelona\, Spain. B
orn in Argentina\, in 1985\, Marcelo Schnock studied piano\, jazz and harm
ony with professors such as Nicolás Guerschberg\, Francisco Sicilia\, Gui
llermo Romero and Paula Suarez. Complementarily\, he studied Indian and Af
rican music with Santiago Michael and Carolina Chrem as well as sound as a
form of healing with teacher Karina Quiroga.\nProject link: www.101010n.c
