DESCRIPTION:Three For Silver The ever-evolving project of virtuoso Lucas W
arford is back with a new sound and a new lineup! In November and December
2024\, they’ll be touring Europe again with songs from their upcoming a
lbum Modern Man (release date: October 25\, 2024). It’s a program where
the band can fully embrace their versatility: from sea shanties to America
na to folk-metal ballads\, with a few quirky detours along the way. Their
virtuosic musicianship and darkly beautiful songwriting bring to mind Tom
Waits\, Primus\, and Nick Cave—Three For Silver embodies the new generat
ion of that sound. Founded in Portland\, Oregon\, the band has already rel
eased five albums\, toured the world\, and never stopped evolving. Modern
 Man (Album) Sinister darkness\, rain-slicked cobblestone alleys\, a beam o
f light scattered through the fog dozing in the corner\, and a few instrum
ents lying on the ground—that’s the kind of atmosphere you can expect
from Three For Silver’s new album. The band around Lucas Warford walks a
fine line between seriousness and humor. That’s not easy to do—and ve
ry easy to fail at. But Warford and his boys & girls manage it with a rare
effortlessness. To be honest\, the current single “Does Me Good” is n
ot a song for casual listening—actually\, the whole album isn’t. And t
hat’s a good thing. There are so many sly little details waiting to be d
iscovered. You really need to listen to each song at least two or three ti
mes to fully grasp the masterpiece that’s been created here. The entire
album has a lot to offer. A mystical atmosphere takes hold when you dive i
nto the 10 tracks. They all sound like the moment when the villain of a mu
sical finally makes their grand entrance in Act 3. This villain may still
be wicked\, but deep down\, they’ve got a good heart. That explains the
constant wink behind Three For Silver’s vocal lines.
