DESCRIPTION:Navigating Maritime Change\nEnergy Transition\, Geopolotical R
isk\, and the Rules Reshaping the Industry\n \nThe maritime industry is e
ntering a decisive period. The pressure to reduce emissions is intensifyin
g\, but the path forward remains far from straightforward. Alternative fue
ls and emerging technologies offer real possibilities\, yet questions surr
ounding cost\, availability\, infrastructure and safety continue to influe
nce what can realistically be implemented.\nAt the same time\, geopolitica
l instability is disrupting energy supplies and placing renewed pressure o
n strategic maritime routes\, including the Strait of Hormuz. For shipowne
rs\, captains\, crews and legal teams\, these developments are creating in
creasingly complex decisions\, particularly when commercial obligations\,
regulatory requirements and human safety come into conflict.\nOn Monday 23
November\, Monaco Women Network will bring together three experts represe
nting different areas of the maritime industry:\n\nAnisha Franklin\, Partn
er at HFW and Board Member\, Director and Trustee of The Mission to Seafa
rers\nFrancesca Gianfranchi\, Senior Legal Counsel at Scorpio Group\, Mona
co\nCamille Lopez\, Founder and CEO of HY-Plug\n\nDrawing on their experie
nce across shipping\, maritime law\, seafarer welfare and renewable energy
\, the speakers will examine the practical realities behind the transforma
tion of the sector. The conversation will consider which cleaner energy so
lutions are genuinely viable for shipping and yachting\, how evolving inte
rnational regulations may affect operations\, and what happens legally and
operationally when vessels are delayed\, diverted or exposed to high-risk
areas.\nThe panel will also explore the proposed IMO Net-Zero Framework\,
the consequences of geopolitical tensions for global maritime activity\,
and the role Monaco could play in accelerating the adoption of cleaner tec
hnologies and fuels.\nRather than another broad conversation about sustain
ability\, The New Maritime Equation will focus on the decisions the indust
ry must make now\, and the legal\, commercial and human consequences those
decisions will carry.\nAn essential evening for professionals working acr
 oss shipping\, yachting\, energy\, law\, insurance\, finance\, sustainabil
ity and technology\, as well as anyone interested in the forces reshaping
one of the world’s most strategically important industries.\n \n\nMonda
