  or end\, facing the brutal elements of nature\, snow\, ice\, storms\, win
 d and darkness.\n \nAn exploration of the physicality of solitude and the
  darkest facets of the human condition.\n \nSchubert uses repetitive rhyt
 hmic motifs and strange harmonic ideas that evoke parallels between the ha
 rshness and beguiling power of nature and human  emotions\, avoiding mor
 e typically beautiful musical ideas in favour of a style that is both asto
 undingly modern and devastating in its romantic and troubled beauty.
