 présentent leur premier album en duo\, White Paper\, fruit de 25 ans d’
 amitié et de collaborations musicales. Cet album\, qui rassemble cette hi
 stoire partagée en douze chansons sensibles\, respire la proximité\, la 
 vulnérabilité et une forte interaction\, qui laisse deviner les origines
  des deux musiciens : jazz\, world\, pop et musique de chambre contemporai
 ne. Au cours des dernières années\, Anu Junnonen et Tuur Florizoone ont 
 travaillé ensemble dans différents contextes musicaux\, notamment au sei
 n du groupe aNoo\, avec lequel ils ont sorti deux albums : The Luckless La
 nds Of The North (Homerecords\, 2007) et Sinipiika (Provarecords\, 2011). 
 Après le dernier concert du groupe en 2013\, ils ont continué à jouer e
 nsemble de manière sporadique\, tandis que l’idée d’un album en duo 
 prenait lentement forme. Pour White Paper\, ils ont résolument opté pour
  de la nouvelle matière. Anu Junnonen a écrit les textes \; Tuur Florizo
 one a composé\, à quelques exceptions près\, la musique. Ils s’y sont
  attelés de façon régulière pendant plusieurs mois. L’accordéon est
  devenu voix\, les mots ont façonné des histoires\, une lumière nordiqu
 e baignant un paysage musical intime et sans frontières. L’univers de W
 hite Paper se révèle à la fois coloré et épuré. Ce qui avait commenc
 é comme un duo voix–accordéon s’est développé en une palette sonor
 e intégrant également piano\, percussions\, claviers et chant polyphoniq
 ue. Pour deux morceaux\, le violoncelliste Jörg Brinkmann a également é
 té invité. L’enregistrement de l'album n’a pas eu lieu dans un studi
 o stérile\, mais dans une vaste villa isolée dans le sud de la France\, 
 avec une vue à perte de vue sur des collines. L’ingénieur du son et pe
 rcussionniste Etienne Plumer a assuré la prise de son\, le mixage a été
  confié à Dries Van Ende\, qui a donné à l’album un son sans comprom
 is et\, par moments\, « pop ». Le mastering a été réalisé par Uwe Te
 ichert. Le résultat ? Un album contrasté\, exploratoire et résolument a
 ventureux\, composé de dix nouvelles compositions et de deux reprises\, d
 ont « Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime » de The Korgis. L’album par
 aît chez Aventura Musica\, le label de Tuur Florizoone\, et constitue la

 nd contemporary chamber music.\n\nOver the past few years\, Anu Junnonen a
 nd Tuur Florizoone have worked together in various musical contexts\, nota
 bly as part of the group aNoo\, with whom they released two albums: The Lu
 ckless Lands Of The North (Homerecords\, 2007) and Sinipiika (Provarecords
 \, 2011). After the group’s final concert in 2013\, they continued to pl
 ay together sporadically\, whilst the idea of a duo album slowly took shap
 e.\n\n	 \n\nFor White Paper\, they resolutely opted for new material. Anu
  Junnonen wrote the lyrics\; Tuur Florizoone composed the music\, with a f
 ew exceptions. They worked on it steadily over several months. The accordi
 on became a voice\, the words shaped stories\, a Nordic light bathing an i
 ntimate\, boundless musical landscape. The world of White Paper proves to 
 be both colourful and minimalist. What began as a voice-and-accordion duo 
 has developed into a sonic palette that also incorporates piano\, percussi
 on\, keyboards and polyphonic singing\n\n\nCellist Jörg Brinkmann was als
 o invited to perform on two tracks.\n\n		 \n\nThe album was not recorded 
 in a sterile studio\, but in a spacious\, secluded villa in the south of F
 rance\, with sweeping views of the rolling hills. Sound engineer and percu
 ssionist Etienne Plumer handled the recording\, whilst the mixing was entr
 usted to Dries Van Ende\, who gave the album an uncompromising and\, at ti
 mes\, ‘pop’ sound. The mastering was carried out by Uwe Teichert.\n\n	
 	 \n\nThe result? A contrasting\, exploratory and resolutely adventurous 
 album\, comprising ten new compositions and two covers\, including “Ever
 ybody’s Got to Learn Sometime” by The Korgis.\n\nThe album is released
  on Aventura Musica\, Tuur Florizoone’s label\, and marks the label’s

 k.\n\nDe afgelopen jaren hebben Anu Junnonen en Tuur Florizoone in verschi

 er gedurende enkele maanden regelmatig aan. De accordeon werd stem\, de wo
 orden vormden verhalen\, een noordelijk licht baadde een intiem en grenzel
 oos muzikaal landschap. De wereld van White Paper is zowel kleurrijk als s
 trak. Wat begon als een duo van zang en accordeon\, groeide uit tot een kl
 ankpalet met ook piano\, percussie\, keyboards en meerstemmige zang. \n\n
 \nVoor twee nummers werd ook cellist Jörg Brinkmann uitgenodigd.\n\n			 
 \n\nDe opnames voor het album vonden niet plaats in een steriele studio\, 
 maar in een ruime\, afgelegen villa in Zuid-Frankrijk\, met een weids uitz
 icht over de heuvels. Geluidstechnicus en percussionist Etienne Plumer ver
 zorgde de opnames\, de mixage werd toevertrouwd aan Dries Van Ende\, die h
 et album een compromisloos en soms ‘pop’-geluid gaf. De mastering werd
  verzorgd door Uwe Teichert.\n\n			 \n\nHet resultaat? Een contrastrijk\,
  verkennend en resoluut avontuurlijk album\, bestaande uit tien nieuwe com
 posities en twee covers\, waaronder ‘Everybody’s Got to Learn Sometime
